Frosted Designs Sketch Along Tuesdays 5.1…and more!

Good morning everyone! Today is going to be a good day because I finally slept all night! 🙂 This week has been going well so far…yesterday I was thrilled to be chosen as this week’s Featured Artist at Let’s Get Sketchy for my “Spring Cutie” layout (see last week’s post). I also was able to get a layout done yesterday. But before that, here is this week’s reveal for Frosted Designs:

The Sketch:

And here is my layout, again using those awesome Authentique papers:

To play along with this challenge and win a kit from Artful Delight, be sure to complete your project using this sketch and link it up to Frosted Designs.

Sidenote: I am also using that layout as one of the Club CK Issue Challenge entries for March/April. We were challenged to create our own circle embellishment. I pieced together the circle using scraps of this same line of paper and topped it off with the large button in the middle.

Yesterday I completed this layout, also for the March/April CK Issue Challenge round.

We had to create a layout with a button banner. I used some of my MME On the Bright Side papers and a sketch by Diana Fischer. I liked using non-traditional colors and papers for an Easter layout.

Well friends, I am off to start my busy day. The girls have dance class and I promised Sophie I would take her to Build A Bear today as a reward for finally getting rid of that pacifier (or as she likes to call it, her “B”). Stay tuned later this week for the Mother’s Day Blog Hop, which will feature lots of fabulous inspiration for your mother’s day projects!

Frosted Designs Sketch Along Tuesdays 3.20

First off I want to say Happy Birthday to my baby boy–he’s 3 months old today! 🙂
This week we had a wonderful sketch by Jenny Evans to work with over at Frosted Designs. I recently FINALLY got my items I’ve been waiting for from Stop and Scrap and one of them was the Echo Park “A Boy’s Life” set of papers. The very first sheet I pulled out of the package inspired me immediately to create this layout of my son:

And this was the sketch for the week:

Make sure to stop by Frosted Designs to play along! Just create a layout using the sketch and upload it to the Sketch Challenge. I can’t wait to see what you all create!
