“Love is in the Air” Blog Hop Winner and Valentine’s Layouts!

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who participated in the Frosted Designs “Love is in the Air” Blog Hop. I really appreciate all of the nice comments, and I hope you enjoyed “hopping” along to all of our blogs. Today I randomly chose a winner for a small Valentine’s RAK and the winner is:

Shaunery Wharton

Please email me at melissajohnson8 (at) gmail.com with your info so I can get your prize in the mail to you! Congratulations!!

Today I was blessed with a couple of well-behaved little ones (which has NOT been the case the last few days!). They let me get a couple of layouts done while they kept me company in the craft room. The room is a complete mess now since Sophie was “crafting” with me, but that’s ok. Sometimes we just have to ignore the mess and enjoy having fun and spending time together doing something we both enjoy. Baby Weston watched us from his little playmat while he catnapped and jammed out to his classical baby tunes :). In honor of Valentine’s day I created these layouts for the two younger kiddos. Here is Weston’s layout:

I used a Page Maps sketch for this layout, but ended up changing it up a bit (which I normally do when I’m using a sketch). I used Jenny Bowlin papers that I had in my stash. I really wanted to do a sort of masculine Valentine layout; I don’t want him to be embarrassed looking back at his scrapbook with his wife or girlfriend someday 🙂 I think I’m finally mastering the art of scrapping a boy–I LOVE IT! I am also entering this layout in Scrapfit’s Workout #62, featuring XOXO.

This next layout is for my 3 year old daughter, Sophie. I was inspired by this layout that I found on Pinterest. Yes, I am a Pinterest addict. I changed it up by adding some doodling and a mixture of circles and hearts with some faux stitching. I altered the photo of my daughter using the BeFunky app on my iPhone. I love that app!

I used a bunch of old K&Co paper that I had from last year for this layout. I have been busy ordering new CHA goodies, so I’m trying to use as much old stuff from my stash as possible. I sense a big purge in the near future!

Love the black, white and red layout with the cute tickets. Those are really cute heart buttons too!

I might have to scraplift the second layout. I love all the embellishing down the left side with the misting. It looks awesome and a great way to use up pretty patterned paper!
